Armed Forces Day Flag

Armed Forces Day celebrations begin on Monday, 19 June when the Armed Forces Day flag is raised on buildings and famous landmarks around the country in the week running up to Armed Forces Day (Saturday, 24th June). The flag will be flown from the flag pole at Bridgwater House to show Sedgemoor District Council's support for the armed forces and will be raised by Cllr Mike Cresswell, Chairman of Sedgemoor District Council. 15/06/17

It is an opportunity for the nation to show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community; from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets

Cllr Mike Cresswell, chairman of Sedgemoor District Council said "We will collectively ensure that the Armed Forces Day is justly remembered in future years, with this flag as a symbol of respect for service to this country.
