  • Next meeting of BoS Men's Shed

    The next Shedders meeting for the newly formed BOSHed (Burnham on Sea and Highbridge Shed) will take place at the Old Courthouse in Jaycroft Road, Burnham on Sea TA8 1LE on Thursday 27th April 2017 from 7pm - 9pm.     Join the Friends of Marine Cove and Sedgemoor District Council on Monday 1st May for the annual May Day celebrations; there will be entertainment and activities for the children to take part in including a Fairy Hunt and Floral activity. 18/04/17

  • Garden Waste collections

    With the lighter evenings, gardeners are no doubt planning their gardening year ahead and itching to get out into their gardens. Garden Waste collection is a service on offer in Sedgemoor could be blooming useful. The fast, clean and cheap alternative is a subscription to Sedgemoor District Council's garden waste collection service. 04/04/17

  • Bridgwater Town Centre progress update

    Bridgwater Town Centre is set to benefit from a raft of initiatives funded by EDF Energy through the planning permission given to prepare the site at Hinkley Point C for construction. There are four elements to the successful Bridgwater Town Council bid. 1.improving the environment by lighting the town bridge and other landscaping; 2.helping retailers meet the needs of a growing customer base; 3.extending the new England Coast Path to the Docks 4.supporting a programme of events, including a summer festival on July 29th. 04/04/17

    Following the consultation that was held last autumn, which looked at two potential sites for the proposed Bridgwater Barrier, all responses have now been considered. 15/03/17
